Seemingly averse to retroing classic Dunks, Nike has developed a pattern of taking past beloved models and re-releasing them with a twist. The latest example is an upcoming Dunk High SB that’s clearly modeled after the Plums from the Ugly Duckling pack of fat-laced Dunk Pro Bs. New images reveal a shoe that hews fairly close to the original, though it appears nubuck has replaced suede and the colors have dulled slightly. It’s still a good looking shoe in its own right, made even more attractive when considering the dim possibility of finding a deadstock pair of the original Plums from 2001. Look for these to drop as part of Nike SB‘s complement of September releases.
